The Pelling 35 ECO is a water-bearing pellet boiler for heating systems with central heat distribution. According to the manufacturer, this series is designed for heating single-family homes and apartment buildings. This makes the model particularly attractive to operators who want a classic pellet heating system with automatic fuel feed and controlled boiler operation.
This device is particularly useful where a pellet-fired heat generator with integrated buffer storage is to be incorporated into an existing or newly constructed heating system. However, any statements regarding specific building sizes should always be based on a professional design.
With a nominal heat output of 35 kW, the Pelling 35 ECO falls into a performance range that should not be used to make a general statement about building size. Crucial factors include the heating load, system temperatures, hydraulics, storage concept, and the actual heat demand of the building.
This classification serves only as a first orientation and does not replace professional planning, design or heating load calculation.
In everyday operation, the boiler features automatic ignition and an integrated control system that adjusts the pellet feed and fan speed based on the flame temperature. This allows operation to be adapted to the current heat demand without the need for constant manual intervention.
Also relevant for the user are the weekly timer function, the possibility of integrating a room thermostat, and the buffer storage control via upper and lower sensors described in the manual.Cleaning is scheduled at fixed intervals and includes the combustion pot, combustion chamber, heat exchanger and exhaust chamber.
The boiler consists of a pellet hopper, auger, heating element, combustion chamber, flue gas fan, and electronic controls. Combustion is controlled by a flame temperature sensor; according to the manual, the boiler operates with 10 power levels and adjusts the pellet feed and fan speed accordingly.
The heat exchanger is a tube heat exchanger. The official manufacturer's website also mentions turbulators, which improve heat transfer and influence the exhaust gas temperature. The internal wiring is pre-installed; according to the manual, modifications to it are not permitted.
The Pelling 35 ECO has documented efficiencies of 91.5% at partial load and 91% at nominal heat output. The current EPREL documentation also specifies an energy efficiency class of A+ and a seasonal space heating efficiency of 82%.
The boiler is tested according to EN 303-5:2012 in class 5. Emission values for CO, NOx, OGC and dust are specified in the technical documentation. According to the data sheet, these values were determined using approved pellets in accordance with EN ISO 17225-2.
The unit is designed for water-based integration into a heating system. The manual explicitly describes its use with a buffer tank; according to the documentation, two buffer sensors are included with the control unit. The manufacturer recommends installing a buffer tank, even though the boiler can also be operated without one.
Additionally, a room thermostat can be integrated. For the flue connection, a chimney with a minimum inner diameter of 120 mm and a minimum height of 5 m is specified; the flue pipe should not exceed 3 m in length. According to the manual, a double thermal safety valve or an open heating system is required for emergency operation with firewood.

Meaningful additions arise primarily from system integration. From a technical standpoint, a suitable buffer tank, appropriate hydraulic components for boiler integration, safety-related fittings, and compatible exhaust gas components are essential. Since the boiler operates with buffer tank sensors, tank integration is a particularly logical technical solution.
According to the manual, a separate grate is required for emergency operation with firewood; this is not included in the confirmed standard delivery. In this operating mode, the manufacturer's safety instructions must also be observed.
Installation, electrical connection, and commissioning should be carried out by qualified personnel in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. Before installation, the technical documentation and the requirements for the chimney, exhaust system, safety components, and air supply must be carefully reviewed.
The manufacturer requires, among other things, a suitable chimney, proper hydraulic integration, and compliance with applicable national regulations. According to the manual, modifications to the internal wiring are not permitted.
Regular operation is intended for wood pellets. Emergency operation with firewood is possible according to the manual, but only under additional safety conditions.
The nominal heat output is 35 kW. A value of 11.7 kW is documented for this model at partial load.
The Pelling 35 ECO is rated at 95 kg in the standard version and 151 kg in the Maxi version.
The manufacturer describes the buffer tank connection in detail and, according to the manual, includes two buffer sensors. The installation of a buffer tank is recommended.
The boiler body measures 1385 mm in height, 510 mm in width, and 948 mm in depth. With the silo, the width increases to 810 mm or 1010 mm, depending on the model.
The flue pipe connection is specified as Ø 120 mm. The manual also describes minimum requirements for chimney cross-section and chimney height.
The system is designed for 230 V and 50 Hz. The manual specifies a 6 A fuse.
Documented efficiencies are 91.5% at partial load and 91% at nominal heat output. The current EPREL datasheet also indicates energy efficiency class A+.
